Adriaan van Liempt

Adriaan van Liempt, PhD works as a teacher and researcher in sociology, methodology, and data science at the Academy Leisure & Events (BUas)⁠. He is a sociologist by background, and historically his research areas have included work, care and law⁠. His current areas of research include leisure behaviour, consumer experience and impact in the cultural industry with a focus on museums and heritage tourism⁠. His academic interests are defined by institutional economics, social history, social stratification and mobility, bio-social interactions and social comparison⁠.

Van Liempt has owned a software development company for over 20 years, and as a programming, data and modelling nerd, he enjoys developments in the fields of data science and machine learning⁠.
